The Tea House and Coffee Pot

Today's adventure took us to the teahouse and coffeepot, located up the street from the Temple Slug.

We arrived around 11:30am, we sat on the patio and enjoyed our experience outside. The smells walking in the house (literally a house) were amazing. Fresh tea in tins behind the counter and magnetized on the wall for your smelling pleasure permeated the air very subtly. The counter was filled with notes and words and employee favorites. You can order beverages from a two page menu of tea or freshly made coffees/lattes! The foods of the day were posted but there is also a full menu. There was nothing corporate about this business. The house is decorated with a designer wooden floor, little origami art hung on wires through out, and the simplicity of it all gave a friendly atmosphere to converse with friends. The quality of the food and beverages is high, you do pay for what you get as they say. Their prices compared to corporate rivals for example $4.50 for a 16oz Almond flavored Latte'. The food was flavored exquisitely, they have different takes on old favorites like Wasabi Tuna Salad as well as offering fresh new recipes. This experience was delightful and I will be going back, if not just to try one of their hundreds of teas offered.

Atmosphere:
Cleanliness- very clean. Noise- very quiet, good place to study, or have a conversation.

Service:
Fast?- The staff is small and all the orders are taken by one employee while the other one cooks in the kitchen, also the receipts are hand written making the process a little less fast, overall I have to rate it slow. Accuracy- Very accurate, they may take their time writing down the details but the order comes out accurate! Friendly?- Very friendly.

Quality of goods/foods:
Whole ingredients?- yes, natural food is served here. Originality?- The recipes were unique and yummy!

Child Appropriate:
What ages can enjoy this establishment? This depends on your child, but it is a quiet place. There is no room for strollers in the hall way to place your order, no ramp, or area child friendly. There are board games out in the main room which I'm sure my twin 2 year olds would have a hay day tearing apart, also there are unguarded stairs in the front entrance way. This establishment would be great for a child that can entertain themselves or play relatively quiet. The patio is far big enough to host strollers and babies, but not extremely child proof.

They had a groupon!
